A Day in the Middle of Nowhere

I cannot begin to tell you how weird it is to wake up and look out your window at 5am and see nothing but white haze, and then continue to see nothing but that haze for the rest of that day. For our entire day at sea, our ship was totally enveloped in dense fog. The foghorn blasted all day long, every two minutes or so. We mostly relaxed, so I don't have much to report other than this:
• The bartender taught me a card trick.
• Journaling is good for the soul and helps me not miss home as much.
• I hate when strangers ask to play chess with us.
• The ballroom dance show on the ship features a short bio movie definitely made on Windows 2007 Movie Maker, as well as a cringe-y waltz (I think?) in lime green Pirates of the Caribbean costumes.
• I met the man that claims to have invented the selfie.
That is all.
